Dress up in BALLOONS?

making-balloon-dress.jpgpurple-and-pink-balloon-gown.jpgdress-and-gown-of-balloons.jpg

My friend Susan sent this to me and I thought it was fabulous! What an imaginative take on gala dressing–though sitting down might present a problem!

Don’t you just love people who can look at a familiar object and see something totally new? I could stare at a pile of pink and purple balloons for about 300 years before I’d think, “That’s it! A gown!”

After googling around for a bit, I tracked down one of the talented creators of this wearable art. His name is Asi Cohen. He also goes by the name “Blowfish.” Cohen is an Israeli entertainer and balloon artist whose work in latex far transcends couture.

Take a look at Asi Cohen’s balloon dresses and costumes and more of his fun, decorative creations. See you soon–

  1. Actually the first 2 are of Ken Stillman and the third are 2 by Rie Hosaki. Asi was there and made a great dress, but not these. For other great Balloon Art check out BalloonHQ.com I think you and your readers will enjoy it.

BTW these were at a festival in China.
